At Least the Traffic was Good.

Apparently traffic is light driving out to Stirling at 12:30AM.  Who knew?  We start our day at the same time good boys and girls would be coming home on a weekend.  But you could tell what time it was if you were looking at the eager faces of 12 students who were about to embark on a trip 2 years in the making!

With the bus loaded, we had a smooth drive to Calgary with the students powered by excitement and me by coffee.  With time to spare we pull up to the economy parking for the Calgary airport.  Wait… did I read that sign correctly?  FULL, USE PARKADE 2?  It’s a little known fact that a bus will not fit in the parkade.  Not even close!  Well, considering the backup plan was praying that we didn’t need one, we pull into the parkade anyways.  After a short drive, I find two stalls that will accommodate our large vehicle. Dallas, hope your ready!

With the kids wide awake and ready to go, we make the frigid stroll from the parking lot to the airport.   It’s a shock to system… it’s cold out there!  I suspect the shock will be just as great when we return.

Things progress smoothly, but slowly as we worked our way through check-in, customs and security.  We make our terminal with 1 hour to spare!  Next stop Dallas!
